TY Agricultural Science
Our TY Agricultural students (along with 1st year and 6th year students) have been doing wonderful work in our school garden. In the herb garden, students have planted flat leaf and curly parsley; coriander; chives; rosemary; lemon balm; cauliflower; and onion setts. In the vegetable garden, students have planted lettuce, celery, kale and ruby chard. Our TYs also helped to make a scarecrow which can be seen with some of our 6th year students. Many thanks to the Woodwork department for their help with the frame for the scarecrow; the Art department for the ‘messy hay work’; and looking forward to supplying the Home Economics department with herbs and salads.
Our school has been given a spooktacular makeover thanks to the efforts of Patrycja Sykula, Abby Hanan-Moran and Julia Mierzwa (TY Ashford) The ladies were very ably assisted by “the lads” Eoin Corrigan, Eoin Ryan & Matthew McEneff (also TY Ashford) and Mr Kilgallen We can’t wait to see what costumes are on offer on Friday for the fancy-dress day the ladies are organizing. We are especially excited to see what TY Coordinator Ms Lynch has up her sleeve this year! #Halloween #FrightfulFingal
