On the 16th of January 2014, six members of the student council went to represent Fingal Community College at the R.D.S. The event taking place was Cycle Against Suicide Students Leaders’ Congress. The event was calling students to send out a clear message that “It’s okay not to feel okay and it’s absolutely okay to ask for help.”

The members of the student council were intrigued by the projects other schools put together and now will bring back this important message to the students of FCC.

“It was a great experience to attend at the Cycle against Suicide event and I learned that if you’re troubled you can always ask for help” Andrew, Vice- Chairperson.

“The event gave us the inspiration and motivation to raise the issue of mental health in our school. It was also a good day to get to know each other better for our council” Alex, Chairperson.
