On Wednesday 27th September four of our students – Cristina (5th Year), Caitlin, Karolina and Vilte (all TY)  -attended the Concern Debates workshop in the Carmelite Community Centre. The students, members of Fingal’s Debate Club, attended the workshop to learn the art of debating, as well as the format for the upcoming Concern Debates in which the school is participating. The school’s first debate is a Home debate against St. Mary’s Secondary School (Glasnevin) on Thursday October 12th. The motion for the date, proposed by Fingal, is ‘To end hunger, the world must embrace GMOs’. The debate will take place at 7 p.m and we hope to see lots of support from our students and parents!
