An exhibition of students Art, Craft and Design projects from the 2012 state exams was held on Monday 12 November. This exhibition was curated by the Transition Year students and their Art and Home Economics teachers Ms Lynch and Ms Héarún. The exhibition consisted of work from Art, Home Economics, Metalwork and Woodwork, all of which achieved excellent results in the state exams. Local primary schools paid a visit to the exhibition that was held in the school hall in the morning. In the afternoon the exhibition was officially opened by Fingal County Council’s Arts Education officer Ms Julie Clarke. The exhibition was attended by parents, students, teachers and local businesses. Sponsors included Philip O’Neill Photography, Pat O’Farrell Schoolwear, Woodgrey Ltd , Elliott Engineering and The Hot Spot Cafe, Lusk. The winners were Donna for Art, Kyle for Woodwork, Damien for Metalwork and Megan for Home Economics Craft. Congratulations to all and well done to the TY students for organising the event.
