There was great excitement in the run up to Christmas in the HE department as Ms Héarun’s 2nd Year class was set a challenge to make and decorate Christmas logs. In the run up to the event, the class researched the many ways logs could be decorated. There was only one catch – everything had to be edible.
On the day, there was a touch of mystery as classmates did not want to give away any design ideas. Students worked diligently and carefully to execute their design ideas. There was no doubt, Ms Hogan’s 2nd Year class had a tough job ahead to pick the winning log.
As time was called, all logs were placed on a large table and anonymously labelled for the judges. There were a few finishing touches but overall students were happy with their efforts. It was a very close call in the end with three logs fighting for the top prize. Well done to all students involved.
